Plant trees in the Holy State of India for a rich biodiversity.
Agriculture in the state of Uttar Pradesh has a major share in the state gross domestic product (SGDP). However, due to climate changes and various other factors, crop failure has become a burden to the farmers, and the farmers have shifted to cash crop farming. In order to help the farmers overcome this problem, the SankalpTaru Foundation initiated Project Harit Uttar in 2020 in various districts of the state. Under this project, we aimed to plant fruit-bearing trees of Mango, Guava, Jackfruit, Lemon, Bel Patthar etc on the lands of various farmer. Since 2015, we have witnessed improvement in the livelihoods of the farmer beneficiaries.
The project has become a huge success because of the contributions of our planters and we hope to make it much better with your help and support in the future too.
