PROJECT BACKGROUND

On June 5, 2014 Microsoft India, Hungama Digital and SankalpTaru teamed up together to celebrate The World Environment Day. A school in Harsani village in Thar Desert, Barmer District of Rajasthan was chosen as a project beneficiary. Despite of scorching summers, students and villagers had shown lot of enthusiasm to plant trees. Very soon, the school which barely had a tree cover was surrounded by newly planted saplings. The school was also provided aid to ensure proper watering of planted saplings.
